
He is currently the municipal lawyer for 15 Ontario municipalities, acting on all aspects of their day to day operation, as well as attending court and administrative law hearings, including hundreds of land use disputes under the Ontario Land Tribunal [OLT] and its predecessor, the Ontario Municipal Board.
He also acts as the Integrity Commissioner for a number municipalities under the provisions of the Municipal Act.
In addition to his work for municipalities, Steve maintains a private sector legal practice throughout rural and northern Ontario, focused on problem-solving and obtaining regulatory approvals from municipalities, the province and administrative tribunals on a comprehensive range of residential, commercial and resource-based activities.
Anna Stephan works closely with Steve and is a law clerk and office administrator with over 25 years experience.
As a senior lawyer with specialized knowledge, Steve provides timely and practical advice on a cost-efficient basis to both municipalities and those who deal with them.
